Incoming 6th Grade Home Visits

6th Grade Home Visits

ALL INCOMING 6TH GRADE FAMILIES:

Mr. Imlay, Mrs. Simmons and a few teachers and will be conducting home visits for ALL of our new 6th grade students throughout the month of July!

Home visits are very important for our students and families to learn about Monroe and how to find success as they move to middle school. Home visits are just as, if not more important, for our team to help us learn from families about what they expect and what they need from us in order to best support the development of their scholar.

What is a Home Visit?

Two members of our staff will meet with you, the parent/guardian, and your scholar at a place of your choosing for 15-30 minutes. The visit will be an opportunity for our team to share key information and policies about Monroe, hand out a uniform shirt, share our Student & Family Handbook, and provide a space for students and families to ask any and all questions they have.

Home visits can take place at your home, BUT if you prefer to meet at a public location, such as a restaurant, library or at our school, we can do that as well. The most important thing is that we get a chance to sit down and collaborate with you!

How do I Sign Up for a Home Visit Time/Date?

There are 3 ways that families can sign up for a home visit time:

  1. Stop by any of the Neighborhood Check-In, Check-Up days listed in the flyer above.

  2. Email Mr. Imlay at imlaybe@tulsaschools.org

  3. A sign-up link will be posted here and shared with families via email and text on July 5th.
