Monroe Parent/Guardian,
W.I.N. (What I Need) is a FREE high-impact tutoring initiative taught by Monroe's very own teachers! WIN Groups will meet one day per week beginning the week of March 3. Sessions take place after school from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM. All students who participate in the program will be provided with bus transportation home and a free after school meal.
This opportunity is essential for your child’s academic growth; therefore, we expect your scholar to attend every week on the day they were assigned as part of our shared commitment to ensuring they reach their highest potential. Days will be assigned after completion of the Sign Up form in the link below.
What is WIN, and why is it important?
WIN is not your traditional tutoring -- it is designed to provide rigorous, targeted support to Monroe students who are on the verge of proficiency on the Oklahoma State Test (OSTP).
Based on your scholar's performance on their Winter MAP test, they are right on the cusp of demonstrating proficiency. This program is specifically designed to challenge and accelerate their learning, ensuring they develop the skills and confidence needed to excel.
Here is what your scholar can expect at WIN sessions:
Challenging, rigorous lessons designed to push students toward proficiency and beyondSmall-group instruction for highly targeted supportThe Monroe Way test-taking strategies to strengthen their ability to tackle complex questionsEngaging, structured support to build confidence and stamina for the state test
Plus, students who attend at least 90% of their WIN sessions will earn a field trip to Main Event Tulsa!
