We had a busy and productive week at school! Last week, our students completed their MAP assessments in ELA and Math, demonstrating their hard work and dedication. This week, we’re excited to dive into goal setting during our Graduation Power Hour, where students will learn valuable skills for their academic and personal growth.
On the athletic front, we have two exciting volleyball games lined up, along with our first football game of the season. We look forward to cheering on our teams and celebrating their efforts!

Urban Coders Guild
We're excited to invite your child to join the 2024-25 Urban Coders Guild afterschool coding programs! Our mission is to empower Tulsa-area middle and high school students, especially those from underrepresented communities, with the skills and confidence to thrive in tech.
We offer free, high-quality STEM education to help students learn web development, game design, mobile app development, and cybersecurity. Classes meet twice weekly at Langston-Tulsa from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM, starting the week of September 16.
Please encourage your child to apply online at www.urbancodersguild.org and take advantage of this amazing opportunity, which includes financial incentives for students who complete their projects.
School Reminders
School Start & End Times
Students have become familiar with our arrival and departure procedures after practicing over the past four days. As a friendly reminder, school starts at 9:15 am, and our doors open at 8:55 am. It's important to keep in mind that students need enough time in the morning to go through our TSA procedures, grab breakfast, eat, and store their belongings in their locker. Dropping students off as late as 9:10 am, for instance, might result in them being late to class and marked tardy. Since instruction begins right at the bell, we don’t want your student to fall behind. Please help us ensure they have enough time by dropping them off early enough to comfortably reach their classroom.
Bus Transportation
Please make sure your child knows which bus they should take in the afternoon if they ride the bus home. It's essential that they are familiar with both their bus number and their stop.
We recommend reviewing this information with your child and having them write it down to keep in their bag.
