Mostly Thanksgiving and Christmas food is offered. There may be some free toys for young children or working poor families or those facing a crisis in Tulsa.
Salvation Army Center in Broken Arrow

There are other locations of the Salvation Army too, as noted below. They offer counseling, Angel Tree gift programs, Thanksgiving and other meals, counseling, and much more. Or apply for Salvation Army Adopt a Family program for free Christmas presents, games, and even Thanksgiving turkeys.

A local Santa Shop provides support to children. Residents are able to “adopt-a-family” for the Christmas season. They can be provided clothing, gifts, toys, hats, household items, and more. Whatever someone wants to donate to a struggling Tulsa County family will be greatly appreciated. Of particular focus is on the disabled or families with someone having a mental illness, but others can register. They also provide free Christmas help to kids in child custody, and this is part of Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children. The phone number for this service is 918-742-4947 or 918-587-9471.

Tulsa County Toys for Tots in Tulsa County area.
Serves children 14 and under. Register online, at the primary website for this Christmas program. Non-profits collect new toys and give them to teenagers, children, and less fortunate families. There may be games, books, clothes, shoes, video games, toy trucks or dolls, legos, tablets and so much more.

Holiday food is offered. There will be both free Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets with groceries, turkeys, and the charity may have referrals to Christmas toy programs in Tulsa County. Or kids can get free stocking stuffers. The help is for families in a crisis.

Financial aid, shelters, Thanksgiving meals, and Christmas assistance is all provided. Free clothes, small toys, dolls for girls or tucks for boys, and more may be offered. The Toys for Tots affiliated agency helps coordinates Christmas gifts for hundreds of children, and the parents may be referred to meal sites. Video or educational games, free gift certificates, and other presents for kids, teens, and even infants in Tulsa County.
Catholic Charities

They hold various Toy Drives for low-income families with children. Donations from the community of gifts, presents, vouchers for retailers such as Wal-Mart, and food are needed. The assistance is provided to struggling families and those living in poverty. The Tulsa Catholic Charities also supports the elderly in the community. They also hold the Coats for Kids program in the region. This will give free winter attire, such as boots, gloves, and coats, to children and senior citizens. Coats for Kids (and adults too)!
Trav’s Coats for Kids is once again helping provide free winter coats to local children and families. If you need a coat – for a child or for yourself – you can visit the following locations to pick one up free of charge between Nov. 14 and Jan. 14:
First Baptist Church Downtown at 420 S. Detroit Ave on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm
