8th Grade Students & Families should plan on attending Monroe's EDGE Application Day on Saturday, January 14th anytime between 10AM - 2PM at Monroe. Students and families will get 1-on-1 help from our staff with completing the EDGE Early College High School Enrollment Application. ALL 8th Grade Students & Families are HIGHLY encouraged to attend this event.

Monroe will have many staff members present to help families complete their EDGE application. Plus, families will also have a chance to apply for OK Promise! This is an excellent opportunity for families to get the help they need with navigating all parts of the application process. Plus, we will have staff available to support students with the essay portion -- so we highlighy encourage all families bring their 8th grader with them as well!

What is EDGE?

The Earn a Degree, Graduate Early (EDGE) Program gives you the opportunity to graduate high school with both an associate degree and a high school diploma, free of charge. Upon graduation, you will be well on your way to a bachelor’s degree two years ahead of your peers.  Be the first in your family to earn a college degree! Attend a preparatory high school year, get intensive advising and tutoring, and start college courses in the 10th grade. Students are immersed in college life and attend courses taught by TCC faculty.

What is OK Promise?

Oklahoma’s Promise allows 8th-, 9th-, 10th- and 11th-grade students from families meeting certain income requirements to earn a college or technology center tuition scholarship.
